East Hagbourne 14th Annual Scarecrow Competition

The 14th Annual East Hagbourne Scarecrow Trail is on!

It will take place from 26 May to 10 June. This year’s theme is Myths and Legends, and will feature 33 scarecrows.

Maps are available for £1 from the East Hagbourne Community Shop and The Fleur de Lys Pub. You can follow the trail around the village and vote for your favourite scarecrow.

Tea and cakes will be served in St Andrew’s Church on two Sundays: 27 May and 3 June, from 3 to 5 PM, with maps available. Money raised goes to St Anne’s Hospital, in Liuli, Tanzania, which our village has supported for many years. Do come along and enjoy the fun!

Fun Run Results are in!

This year’s fun run was blessed with beautiful weather. Despite the heat runners (and walkers) achieved some very good times. Jack Shayler picked up first prize in the men’s race for an formidable third year on the row. Vicki Cronin (pictured) was the impressive winner of the women’s race.

See the main Fun Run and Walk page for full results.

There’s some snaps of the event on the Gallery Page.

Thanks to the event organisers for a great day.
