Temporary Road Closure – West Hagbourne, Brook Lane and junction with Park Road 14th-16th Oct

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS

LOCATION:        

Road Closure: West Hagbourne , Brook Lane and Park Road

Prohibition of turns to and from Road through Coscote in to Park Road and Brooke Lane.

 REASON:            

To facilitate carriageway patching and drainage works.

 DURATION:        

Starting on 14 October 2019

The anticipated completion date is 16 October 2019 (date included). This is a 24 hour per day closure. (Traffic Regulation Notices cover a maximum of 5 consecutive days.)

ACCESS:            

Limited access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles  and for frontages within the closed section of road, subject to the progress of the works

SUGGESTED ALTERNATIVE ROUTE:

The alternative route for traffic for Brook Lane and Park Road is via Park Road, Wantage Road (B4493), the B4493 new link to  the A417, the A417 to Main Road East Hagbourne and vice versa.

The alternative route for traffic wishing to access East Hagbourne or Park Road from   West Hagbourne is to travel north on the New Road (B4016) to the junction with Broadway, Didcot and continue along Broadway to the Park Road junction. For access to Park Road follow the principal diversion in a clockwise direction down Park Road; and for East Hagbourne follow the principal route in an anti-clockwise direction along the B4493 and A417.

Defibrillator Training

Now the new defibrillator is in situ at the village hall, the Parish Council is arranging additional training sessions with South Central Ambulance Service.
The sessions will be at Hagbourne Village Hall at 7.30pm, and the following dates are currently available:
Friday 25th October
Friday 8th November
Friday 22nd November
Please contact the Clerk directly on easthagbourneparishcouncil@gmail.com confirming which date you wish to attend.
The training is offered free of charge, with a maximum of 12 people per session.

John Lawson’s Thanksgiving Service

There will be a private family cremation service on Wednesday 9th October followed by a thanksgiving service at St Andrews for all at 11.00am and afterwards at the Fleur.
