What could be better than a warm September evening* wandering the village to surprise assignations, meeting new and old friends, enjoying some lovely home cooking, and all supporting two great charities?

Yes, the 2023 Hagbourne Safari Supper is coming soon, so if you want to take part (and why wouldn’t you?) please sign up sign up by 18th August. Details on the sign-up form below.

If you’ve not joined in before, here’s the plan:  We meet up in the church for drinks and canapes where everybody finds out where their main course is going to be served. We make our various ways all over the village to enjoy lovely home cooking in the company of, well, that’s the surprise – you just won’t know until you get there. It’s a great way to get to know new people in the village. We aim to keep couples together if that’s what you want.

After your main course, you’ll be given your sealed instructions on where to go for your dessert (it’s all very Secret Service) and off you go to find that and meet up  with a whole different set of guests.

Finally, we all congregate in the Fleur for coffee and to swap tales of our evenings.

All this for the princely sum of £25 per head, with all proceeds being split between The Friends of St. Andrew’s (towards the conservation of the church building) and Mission 10-Forty (towards vital infrastructure repair work in Ukraine).

It’s going to be a great evening**.
