Thank you to every one, who made yesterday’s church fete a success. We are still awaiting a grand total, we are very luck to have such supportive East and West hagbourne villagers.

Hagbourne Action Group

There is an important decision over a loan for the funding of the Pavillion car park at this week’s Parish Council Meeting (Thursday at the Pavillion at 19:30).

Learn to Bowl in East Hagbourne. Hagbourne Bowling Club are delighted to be part of the GO for GOLD activities and will be running a ‘Learn to Bowl’ course for the over 60’s.

Starts 1st June 2016 for 4 weeks, 11am to 12noon, price £2 at Hagbourne Bowling Club, The Croft, East Hagbourne.

The 2016 Hagbourne Fun Run was once again a great event, and the Committee have received loads of complimentary feedback. It seemed like everyone from the village was there or working behind the scenes. Thanks to all the participants, all the many helpers, and to our sponsors The Fleur-de-Lys.

We will be publishing a full report in a week or two, when we have had time to finalise details of amounts raised for our two charities, Cancer Research UK and the East & West Hagbourne Village Fund – all of the Committee have full-time jobs, so we need a bit of time to catch our breath!

This year was a pilot for our new electronic results system, so we have delayed the full list of times until we had double-checked them.  There may be one or two glitches we haven’t ironed out (for example where the entry forms were unclear), but we hope next year will be even better.
