Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice – S14 Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

Temporary Road Closure and “No Waiting” restriction at East Hagbourne, B4016 Blewbury Road.

In the interests of public safety, it will be necessary for Oxfordshire County Council to close the road and impose a ‘No Waiting’ restriction as detailed above to facilitate the resurfacing of the carriageway and the subsequent reinstatement of all road markings and lines.

The temporary closure will operate from 02 May 2023 up to and including 04 May 2023. This will operate between 07:00 and 19:00.

A Temporary Traffic Regulation Notice is being made to implement the temporary closure and restriction and will operate on the days shown above.

Please note that Notices for urgent works can last up to 5 consecutive days only.

Access will be maintained for emergency service vehicles and for those frontages within the closure area, subject to the progress of the works and liaison with the works supervisor.

A copy of the drawing showing the extent of the closure and restriction and also the alternative route for traffic is attached.

BUS TIMETABLE CHANGES

Please see the attached special 94 timetable that will operate along with the normal 94S journeys. Also shown in italics are connecting journeys at Harwell Campus on the 98 service which will allow passengers from East Hagbourne and West Hagbourne to change buses (should they wish) in order to get to Didcot quicker than staying on the bus as it operates via the diversion route.

During the closure passengers from the Sandringham Road area should use the 92 service to get to Didcot town centre and Parkway station.
