TreeFest – your chance to join in

Poster for TreeFest

Hello Villagers and welcome to TreeFest 2024!

Yes, it’s time for the annual St Andrew’s Christmas Tree Festival – now firmly established as a favourite, traditional village event. As a previous supporters know, as part of the festival villagers in West and East Hagbourne kindly purchase a tree from us then light it up in their front gardens to make the Hagbournes sparkle all over the festival and Christmas.

You can join in too.

The price remains at £26 per 4 foot, ‘live’ Norwegian spruce tree. You can find the order form on this webpage, or you can simply email Sarah on sarahtreefest@gmail.com with your name, address, telephone number and quantity required. Please pay upon ordering as your order cannot be confirmed until payment is received. Thank you.

Trees are available to collect from The Pavilion in East Hagbourne on the afternoon of Tuesday 3 December, but we’ll email you details nearer the time.

Proceeds from the festival will be split between the church and local charities which this year are Didcot Emergency Food Bank & First Steps Baby Bank who provide essential support to families in need in Didcot and the surrounding areas.

The festival will take place from Friday 6 December to Saturday 14 December. As well as the village trees, there will be 30 spruces inside the church, decorated by local businesses and village groups, remaining in place all over Christmas (more info in other articles on this website).

Keep your eyes peeled on this website, and also the village Facebook and WhatsApp groups for details of all the events scheduled for the whole festival which kicks off with the lovely ‘Carols in the Close’ on Friday 6 December followed by the ‘lighting up’ of the trees in the church.

Thank you very much for your support.
