A new timetable for the 94 bus service comes into effect from 26th November. It adds a new 94A service linking us to the Astons and Moretons. East Hagbourne will have slightly fewer direct buses to Didcot, but a more regular return service. Harwell Campus will still be connected on weekdays by a morning/evening service. You can see the full timetable below.

From January 2024, the 94A service will be extended to the Didcot schools at school start/finish times. We will post further details when they are available.

St Andrew’s Christmas Tree Festival

Xmas tree festival image

This year’s St Andrew’s Christmas Tree Festival will take place from the evening of Friday 8th December to Saturday 16th December.

Proceeds from this year’s festival will be split between St Andrew’s Church and Helen & Douglas House – a local hospice for children living with life-limited and terminal conditions and their families.

We have 30 beautiful Christmas Trees inside the church available for local  ‘Tree Angels’ to decorate. Hopefully, you will be one of them! Our optional decoration theme for church trees this year is ‘All Creatures Great and Small’.  As always, your tree will be subject to the public’s scrutiny and votes and the favourite will receive the TreeFest trophy which will be announced at the finale on the afternoon of Saturday 16th December. To sign-up please use the form available on this website.

As has been the custom in recent years, we are also offering villagers in both Hagbournes the chance to join in the festival by placing one of our live, 4ft Norwegian Spruce Christmas Trees in their front gardens and lighting it up for the duration of the festive period.  This is a tradition that we started during the pandemic and has proved so popular that we have continued it ever since. Trees for your garden can be reserved for £26.00.  To order, all you have to do is complete the form downloadable from this page and send it (or an email with the relevant info) to us along with payment. That’s important – your order is not confirmed until payment is received, sorry.

Trees will be available to collect from The Pavilion in East Hagbourne on Wednesday 6 December – more details after you are happily signed-up..

Thank you very much for your support.
